For years, clients of JDHgroup have learned to expect innovative design and top notch quality in their projects. Recently the creative team at JDHgroup has upped the Ante and thrown down a winning hand with the latest interactive feature for Sonic Innovations, exhibiting at the Audiology NOW 2011 show in Chicago.
The Sonic Showdown was an interactive game show created for Sonic Innovations and had every bell and whistle you would expect on TV.The Showdown was hosted by film and television actor Joel Bishop who has been speaking and presenting for nearly two decades.
The automated game show featured real time buzzers, touch screen controls for the Emcee, multi-screen display wall and engaging graphics and sound.Get ready, it's time for the lightning round!

As a lot of our clients know, we do quite a bit more than just design exhibits here at JDHgroup. We are constantly developing new ways to make your environments more immersive, interactive and engaging. Many of our clients come to us before developing their trade-show program so that we can work collaboratively with their marketing teams to create the best experiences possible. It's during this collaborative process that we can really push the boundaries of what an exhibit can become. In the near future we will be posting some of our interactive projects and the technology used to create them. We also have quite a few new projects in the works at the moment that we can't talk about just yet.
Below is a short compilation of video clips showing some of these interactive projects in use. These kiosks are pseudo-holographic displays linked to a touch-screen interface. These type of displays are perfect for the client that has a technically advanced or intangible product. In this case they can highlight their product offerings without needing a hands on demonstration. For example, a device used in a medical procedure can be shown through holographic animations showing the procedure or a chemical treatment which is otherwise invisible can be shown being applied through the display.
Another prime candidate for a kiosk such as this is a company that has a lot of small products they need to display, such as hearing aids. A product that small can get lost in a large exhibit, but by bringing it into a kiosk it becomes easy for attendees to view them up close, see animations of how the products work, their features and the technologies put to use inside their products. With the integrated touch-screen attendees are able to interact with the display, allowing them to customize models or view different product lines.
JDHgroup designed and fabricated these kiosks and combined existing technologies to create the whole package. Everything from the motion graphics and animations to the user interface was developed by our in-house design team.
Toyota UK recently held a mini live event to market their Toyota Auris hybrid vehicle. They setup the scene on a street in London and used 7 projectors and 28,000,000 pixels of textures to create a unique interaction of light and sound cast on a backdrop of dimensional objects. The use of light can go a long way in creating a living environment and adding motion to otherwise static objects.
Projection Mapping can also be used to breath life into much larger environments as well. The video below showcases some creative ways to bring large-scale cinematics to otherwise static building façades.
