Wearable Digital Cameras
Most of us at JDHgroup love technology and gadgets so we're always excited to get our hands on something new. In the last year we've used a couple of the wearable digital cameras that are available.
See last year's Team Building Exercise '09 post where we used the VIO POV.1 camera while canyoneering.
More recently we got to try out the GoPro HD Hero camera. Those who made it out to this summer's Outdoor Retailer show may have seen them exhibiting there. They have a few levels of cameras available, so we got ahold of the HD version and took it out for the week-end. The video quality is impressive to say the least. The image is very sharp and the colors are great considering the huge wide angle lens, and the camera is obviously water proof as we ended up taking it for a swim. By the end of the day the camera held up much better than the sailboat we attached it to.
